In My 20's
Today am in my 20'S, which is amazing but sounds crazy and weird too,
I used to think that i won't make it to 20 , when i was a kid ,i usually liked to watch RTV (Rwandan television) and they are some announcements that passed after the news and i would see 2006 and say to myself in 2010 probably i won't be alive hhh but now i can't even wait for 2020 to come because of many goals that i want to achieve. It’s
amazing how many things can change in just a while I have learned so much
about myself this year and I am very grateful to the new ones to come.
Being an adult doesn’t mean you’re wise
nor does it mean you have everything together. For me, it’s the complete
opposite. When I was in high school, I really thought that by 20 that I would know
everything and have everything figured out. Now, I am often faced with
situations where I have no answers. I am okay with the fact that I often
don’t “know” the answer, but that’s okay because I’m learning from it .
So I
thought I could share with you some of the things I’ve learnt throughout
these years. My plan is to tell some "ways of knowing what you want in life and how to reach them" but turned out to be tooo long so I decided to only pick
only few ways of determining who you are and what you like.
So let’s get into it.
1. you know that thing that can't get out of your head
You’re going to have to give it time and don't under estimate yourself ,what it is go for it because it's what you are and you will have to expose it and you will feel good no regrets,
am speaking from experience here , am this girl who is ambitious and no matter what i look for ways to do what i have into me in this year i have learnt that i like Traveling , i can say that it's something that i had in me since i was a kid ,i knew deep down that i liked to see some good view and nice places .
later on when i ended my high school , i started by my country discovering some good and nice places.
2.work hard
2.work hard
You’re going to have to work hard for what
you want, if you really want it bad. Never – ever expect things to just
come to you. Work tirelessly when you have to
make sure that you gonna get that thing,
when i finished my high school , i immediately went out searching for a job ,it's sounds weird normally we finish school and we wait for our parents to pamper us to each next stage but no way that wasn't me and the good thing is i got the job that's how i started traveling on my own cash and by where i could afford by that time.
Its ok to not be a morning person. Some of us need more sleep than others, lol!
3.Take care of yourself and love yourself
It’s easy to get caught up with life and
let yourself go. It’s easy to work too much. Have a lot of school
papers, Let responsibilities take over. But, never forget to take care
of yourself, because as you grow up all these will only increase. so,
take time and Moisturize your skin, take care of your hair, workout, go shopping, eat
healthy, watch a movie, love, put your phone on silent for a
while(which I am still struggling with) Open a good wine with friends, go out, take risks in fashion, travel go and discover new places, Stop waiting for the perfect moment .
enjoy life now.
4.Meet new friends and develop your connection
In the last few years,I can't tell how many friends that i have got but the good thing of making many friends is that your connection improves and that's when you will find yourself developing,
you never know when you might need someone and good friends stay and have your back.
but you also need to work hard to keep the people
you love in your life. Don’t always let the other person make the first
step. Learn to let go. Forgive people. You are not perfect yourself. and be careful because
someone that’s nice to you but not nice to the waiter is not a nice person.People often show their true colors unintentionally pay attention.
5. Stay ambitious, but appreciate where you're now
I’m this kind of person who get excited for only one day or the moment that i accomplished one goal, I don’t get excited that much instead I’m just onto the next
one. And am always like really? you just hit this huge goal and you
didn’t even acknowledge it that much! And chances are, when i hit that next huge
goal…I’ll be the same way i can say that it's not being grateful but it's what ambitious means i guess.
Sometimes you question everything. Am I
doing the right thing?Am I doing it in a good way?How are people going to react to this?Am I happy? What do I want? How do I get to where
I want to be? Where do I want to be? You’re probably going to lose
yourself a time or two or ten throughout life. But you will eventually
find your way, You are only young, even if 20 is rushing!
It’s really easy to get caught up
in other people’s negativity, often even without realizing! But what you
don’t know, is how bad negativity is and how deeply it impacts your
life. What starts out with a little negativity at the water cooler can
quickly transform into a horrible pessimistic outlook on life. As hard
as it may be, choosing positivity is so much better for yourself.
8. You may find yourself imitating someone's lifestyle .
it's okay if you find yourself imitating someone's lifestyle that's because you want to be that person learn from him/her
but don't pass the limit or else you may find yourself living a life which isn't
yours,
because we people we 're totally different but the good thing is we choose who we want to be!
and If you don’t ask, you don’t get. If you want an apology, a hug or a discount, sometimes you really do have to ask for it.
Waouh!
